Abstract
Correct and efficient management in each place is possible on the basis of exact information from quantitative and qualitative of plants and knowledge from plant correlation with each other and also environmental factors. This research with a view to define correlation between vegetation and morphologic units in Vaz Watershed rangelands located in Mazandaran province took place. In continuing, 25 land units were selected from overlaying slope, aspect and height maps using GIS as foundation of sampling of vegetation and soil. Soil factors such as N, organic material, pH, EC, texture and structure were determined Then plant cover parameters (canopy and density) measured for some species. Using statistic methods showed that variation in percentage of canopy cover and density of the species are influenced by land units as well as aspect, slope and height, and had correlation with vegetation type. In survey of correlation soil factors with percentage of canopy cover and density in studied species identified that effects of soil factors on plants species were not the same and EC, pH and Clay were more effective on canopy and EC, clay, N and pH were more effective than the others on density of most of species.
