Abstract
Natural rivers are always transforming under the impression of various factors and criteria from the viewpoint of size- form and pattern. Meanwhile runoff caused by drainage basin, load and kind of sediments which river carry it to channel, is one of the main variables, which play a fundamental role in determining size and form features of channel.
We are trying to go through the role of debit of the rivers and sediments in alterations of channel and geometry characteristics of the Talar and Babol rivers.
After examination geometry features of channel in mentioned rivers, we have tried to analyze relations between variables of the river debit and sediments comparatively and then we are going to illustrate available relation between them.
For achieving this goal, first, considering existing stations, the amount of debit and sediments along every rivers from the top (upstream) to the end (downstream) have been achieved. Then, geometry features including width, depth, width/depth,sinuosity, central angle, length wave of studied rivers have been calculated. Finally, by analyzing these variables, we will get a model which can be used not only establishing relation between variables together but also for estimating periodical alteration of dimensions form and pattern of rivers.
