Abstract

Maku area which is located in north west of Iran generally it is mountainous region. In this mountains currents of water flow in N-S directions and continuously the erosive activity change the land form during in ten million years. At the end of Eocene part of west is emerged. finally western mountains of Iran are shaped in the boundry line. In the late of Cenozoic period Maku area arc effected h the most movement of organic at last the main physical features are founded.
As result of this movement the central mountains gradually emerged, N-W to S-E respectively the flowing this water eroded in these places as a result the Gorges are appeared.
These Gorge N-W to S-E are as follow
- The Gorge of Qara-su flows to the l3azergan plain.
- The Gorge of Zang-e-mar enters in to Qaleh-jog plain.
- The S-W Fechal Gorge connected to the east part of Maku.
Sary-su Gorge in the Danalu and Maku Gorge in the Maku city are created.
In the northern mountain the Quriskak and Adagan river break 1-lasun and Idali mountain, the Gorge of Quriskak and Adagan are Shaped.
