An array of 49 climatic variables for 43 synoptic stations in IRAN, were subjected to factor analysis and cluster analysis. The factor analysis extracted three major factors as humidity factor, temperature factor, and wind direction factor. These factor classified with the ward clustering analysis and yiellded six major climatic regions. Finally due to some spatial differences 12 sub regions were identified.
