According the estimation, yearly, about 3,000,000 tons deposition running to the West shore line of Oman sea by rivers. This deposition is distributed to the west in long shore by tidal currents and swells. It should point out that the direction of swells mostly is from south east to north west. This movement build special landforms in the shore line and surface of lagoons, such us spits, bars, tidal channels and lagoons.
The comparison of aerial photographs which are taken in 1945 and 1985 with a fourty-year distance shows that the reason of lagoon’s formation is of long shore currents and the evolution of spits to the west direction.
