Abstract

Alvand mass is located in the direction of North — western and south eastern in Hamadan Province in the west of Iran. The morphology of its North front in due to the tectonics and different factors of erosion cause the instability. By using determination of the rate erosion or element affecting in geomorphic structure, one can assess the rate of slope instability. In order to perform this analysis, one can use geomorphologic data. For assessing cliffs morphology and retrograde transformation of northern mountain front of Alvand mass, There region has been divided into 12 sub watershed., and by using different indexes such as decline, retreat, replacement, rounding, sinuous mountain front shape, mountain front faceting river gradient indexes, talvege wide on deep index, fans area index transverse topographic symmetry factors, ... Quantitative analyses of geomorphology was done.
Figures coming that calculative define the intensity of morphodinamic activities and erosion in the region and Alvand Northern slope instability.
The existing of so much slopes in the type of weathering limite slope notonly cause slope transformation but also result into decline, retreat, replacement and rounding processes. Among the active morphodinamic evidences that represent.
